During the 25 years I have spent practising this wonderful art of Bonsai, which has brought me so many friends, I feel immensely satisfied at having been able to invite to this marvellous island of Majorca (which, however, has also caused me many difficulties in organising important events), the following great and reputed masters to the " S’ULLASTRE BONSAI CLUB " which I have had the honour to found, after quite some effort:

Pius Notter -  Hotsumi Terakawa - Massimo Banderas - Marc Noerlanders - Kunio Kobayashi -  Hirotoshi Saitoh - Nobutaka Kaneko - Salvatore Liporance - Marco Invernizi - Jaime Calvo - Shinji Suzuki and of course, the great Master Masahiko Kimura whose visit is planned for the first week of November 2007.

This sacrifice has been well worth the effort, simply for all those (although they are few in number) who have known how to appreciate, value and benefit from these events.

I also want to thank my great friend JOAN JOY for having encouraged me to organise the 1st Congress; Fernando Prieto for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Congresses and the  S’Ullastre Bonsai Club.
And, last but not least, I also wish to thank 5 persons who have always given me their support and continue to do so, by providing me with everything I needed to organise the Congresses, and also helping me in my garden:  Michel Boucher, Antonio Bermejo, Miguel Venegas, Benito Darder, Matias Alorda and Juan Ávila.

A person is free when he gives up attending dinner invitations without having to give an explanation.  During all my life, I have tried to act in complete FREEDOM, without being deprived of my personality.

Once again, the organisation is pleased to announce that the 4th International Olive Bonsai Congress will be held at the Porto Pi Shopping Centre , from June 1-3, 2006 . The event will be attended by the world-famous masters Shinzi Suzuki and Hotsumi Terakawa (both of whom are masters from Japan ) who will organise workshop sessions and demonstrations.

The congress will be inaugurated on Thursday June 1, when a welcome cocktail party will be held, together with a demonstration of Ball de Bot (a typical Majorcan dance): 18'30 h.

Actividades Complementarias:

• Majorcan folk dances.
• Demonstrations of martial arts, Judo, Karate and Kendo.
• Floral Art ( Montse Cabanas - Floristería Burguiñón)
• Sampling of local cuisine ( Sa Nostra Cuina )
• Xeremiers
• There will also be stands selling autochthonous trees.

The workshops and demonstrations will be held on the Terraces of Porto Pi and the exhibition will take place inside the Centre.

* FRIDAY JUNE 2: In the morning, workshops will be organised by the grands masters SHINJI SUZUKI and HOTSUMI TERAKAWA (there is a limited number of places).  

* SATURDAY JUNE 3: In the morning, demonstrations will be given by the grand masters SHINJI SUZUKI and HOTSUMI TERAKAWA .  

* GALA DINNER: This will be held on Saturday June 3, at 21:30 h. During the event, prizes will be awarded for the best trees.
(there is a limited number of places).

SPECIAL INVITATION

The organisation invites all Bonsai lovers to visit the demonstrations organised by the grand masters, as well as the exhibitions and different activities to be held during the event. Please consult prices for workshop sessions and demonstrations.

In addition, the Organisation is pleased to inform that the Master Masaiko Kimura will be organising a demonstration and workshop session at next year's Congress (2007).
